Potato chip research post #2

Question #2 about a scientific study involves the researchers:  do they report any financial grants/consulting or speaking fees that they receive from any companies?  I’m continuing to use the potato chips study as an example.  Yes, the chief researcher declared financial grants and his consulting fees, etc and this adds credibility to him and the research.  Many researchers earn extra financial assistance by speaking, consulting and working for companies and that’s acceptable.  The important thing we should note is that they declare those financial situations in an honest and ethical manner.   Yes, these researchers reported financial grants and consulting fees.    http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa1014296?viewType
