Osteoarthritis post #7 signs & symptoms

What are signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis?  Joints most commonly affected include hips, knees and hands.   Other joints such as shoulders may be affected also.  These joints ache or may be painful and stiff early in the morning (for longer than 30 minutes), after inactivity, and during or after use.  Other symptoms may include  “instability, a grinding, cracking noise in the joint, and swelling or inflammation.  People should seek the help of their physicians when symptoms first appear…It’s not something to write off because there are things that can be done.”  Dr Hardin, a rheumatologist and Chief Scientific Officer of the Arthritis Foundation quoted from
