Osteoarthritis Post #12

Steroid Injections
A steroid injection happens when a doctor injects medication into a joint.  The steroid shot may be a mixture of a corticosteroid and local anesthetic drug or it may be just corticosteroid.  The steroid shot gives anti-inflammatory and anti-irritation medications directly to the tissues of the joint.  A steroid injection
gives amazing relief of symptoms which may last for months.  However, it’s not considered a cure for osteoarthritis.
