As the fall weather continues, we notice the birds are feeding in preparation for cold weather. This morning David watched three bluebirds fighting over the bluebird house. We think the larger male (papa bluebird) was saying to smaller male, “now son, this is my house. You are grown now and it’s time for you to get a job and find your own house.” As the younger bird flew away, we think we heard the papa say, “deadbeat kid wants a free ride. It’s time for him to grow up.” (I might be imagining that.)
