Healthy benefits of tea

Let’s continue talking about tea and its benefits.
The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition offers good news in the December 2013 issue:
The polyphenols (antioxidants) and caffeine in tea help increase our energy usage which helps us lose weight.
Green tea and its polyphenols are believed to slow the progression of several cancers, including lung, prostate, breast, gastrointestinal tract and skin cancer.
The catechins (antioxidants) in tea help prevent heart attacks, strokes and cardiovascular tea.  “Drinking as little as one cup of tea per day supports healthy arterial function and blood pressure.”  Flavonoids (antioxidants) in green tea help bone quality and strength.  (Medical News, Tea helps promote weight loss and improve bone health, http://www.news-medical.net/news/20131107/Tea-helps-promote-weight-loss-and-improve-bone-health.aspx  Readers, excuse me while I go and brew a cup of hot tea.  I have not had my ‘cupa’ tea today.
