Tuesday’s post asked the question, “Will gratitude help us live longer?” A reader responded to my post with this comment, “good one. It takes so much less energy to be positive than negative.”
I read the comment to David because I wasn’t sure what the reader meant. It seems so much we hear (especially in the news and on TV) is negative. David interpreted her comment this way, “so much of the positive things that happen in the world just flow along and all is going fine. The negative occurrences are a disruption and require energy. It’s like driving along to work every day and everything is fine. The day you hit a patch of ice and start sliding, it catches your attention because your normal routine is interrupted and changed.”
Thank you, Reader, for your valuable comment.
