Prevent food poisoning by keeping foods separate

Separate foods—do not spread germs from one food to another during preparation
·        Don’t use the same cutting boards and plates for raw meats, poultry, seafood and/or eggs as you would fresh fruits and vegetables without cleaning in a dishwasher with hot sanitize mode.
·        Keep prepared food separate from raw meats, etc.  The germs from the raw meats can contaminate the prepared foods.
·        Keep raw meats, poultry, seafood and eggs separate from ready-to-eat foods in your grocery bags and in your refrigerator.  If juices from the raw foods contaminate ready-to-eat foods, it can cause you and your family to become ill.
