One more post about Holy Week and Easter. David & I participated in the ‘Way of the Cross’ walk through the streets of downtown Cape on Good Friday. This event is organized by the Downtown Council of Churches. We walked to the 14 ‘stations,’ stopping at each one to read scripture and have prayers. Volunteers in the crowd took turns carrying the 7” wooden cross. As we took our turn carrying the cross, a little boy (maybe 5 or 6) stepped up and helped us as his dad followed closely behind.
This was my first ‘Way of the Cross’ walk and participating added great meaning to my Easter celebration. I found my soul was refreshed by this activity.
