A second good source of medical information is the different doctor groups’ websites.  For example,

The American Medical Association website has a “patient” section at

The American Academy of Pediatrics has a “healthy child” section at

http://www.healthychildren.org/English/Pages/default.aspx

The American Academy of Family Physicians offers information for patients at Family Doctor.org

Orthopaedic surgeons provide patient education on their website at

http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/

In fact, when I type in google search “American Academy of” I get 10 different physician specialty

Groups on the first page.  Most of these Academy websites offer patient information on their website.  

The next time you are searching for reliable on-line medical information, use trusted, reliable information.  But remember that this trusted, accurate information cannot be as valuable and important as your own doctor who knows you and your health status.
