The American
Journal of Clinical Nutrition offers good news in the December 2013 issue:
The
polyphenols (antioxidants) and caffeine in tea help increase our energy usage
which helps us lose weight.
Green tea and
its polyphenols are believed to slow the progression of several cancers,
including lung, prostate, breast, gastrointestinal tract and skin cancer.
The catechins (antioxidants)
in tea help prevent heart attacks, strokes and cardiovascular tea. “Drinking as little as one cup of tea per day
supports healthy arterial function and blood pressure.” Flavonoids (antioxidants) in green tea help
