Peritoneal dialysis is the second method of dialysis. Peritoneal dialysis uses the blood vessels in
the belly lining, peritoneum, to act as a filter. The dialysis fluid is put into the belly via
a special dialysis catheter. The fluid
stays in the catheter for the appropriate amount of time. When the dialysis fluid drains into a sterile
