Flu season 2013

This year’s flu season arrived early and is hitting people hard.  The flu symptoms for this year include chills and high fever (or at the least feeling feverish), a sore throat and cough, head congestion with runny nose and stuffy nose, headaches and body aches, and fatigue.  Some people may also have nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea.  http://natmonitor.com/2013/01/07/flu-symptoms-2013-data-suggests-bad-flu-season/
It’s not too late to get a flu shot, if you can find it.  Recent news stories suggest the flu vaccine supply is running low and may not be readily available.
If you do develop the flu (see symptoms above), treatment by antivirals can be prescribed by your doctor.  For best results, the antivirals should be started within two days of symptoms beginning.   http://www.cdc.gov/flu/protect/preventing.htm
