The great turnip experiment

Last month I told you that my husband planted turnips in my flower beds.  It’s been (surprisingly) a success.  We really like the turnips raw (scrubbed and peeled).  But what should we do with the turnip greens?  My family will tell you I was the kid who refused to eat canned spinach (or anything cooked and green).  So this has been an experiment—and a successful one.

We took our favorite Weight Watcher Spinach with Feta Cheese recipe and substituted turnip greens for the spinach  it.
(Wash the turnip greens very well to remove any dirt or sand before cooking).
Saute chopped onions in a little olive oil.  Add the turnip greens (washed and torn into small pieces)
After it cooks down, add some grape tomatoes (cut into half) When the tomatoes start looking cooked, add feta cheese.  Serve immediately. Yummy.  We liked it.
